Mentorship
Mentorship is one of the support measures to be rendered to the awardees during their study outside Hong Kong. Leaders and experts in different sectors will serve as mentors of individual awardees and provide awardees with guidance, advice and counselling throughout the period when they receive scholarship under the HKSES.
Support of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices
Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETOs) of the HKSAR Government will maintain close liaison with and provide required support for awardees during their study outside Hong Kong. The awardees will be actively engaged as “Hong Kong Student Ambassadors” in different events and activities organised or participated by HKETOs, including receptions, seminars, exhibitions, trainings, festival celebrations, concerts, and performances, etc.
Internship Opportunities
Internship opportunities from different sectors including Government bureaux and departments as well as business sectors will be available for awardees to apply for. Some of the offers are exclusive to the HKSES awardees.
Networking among Awardees
Awardees will be given the opportunity to develop network and encouraged to maintain close connection and liaison among themselves to build up and promote a positive image of the HKSES in the local and overseas communities.
Visits and Other Activities
Various visits and activities will be arranged for awardees. Some of the activities held in the past are highlighted below:
- Team Building Workshop
- Visit to Innovation and Technology Enterprises in Shenzhen
- Visit to Legislative Council
- Visit to the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Visit to Energizing Kowloon East Office and Zero Carbon Building
- Visit to Fung Academy
- Tea Gathering with the then Chief Secretary for Administration
- Visit to Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks and Meeting with Technology Entrepreneurs
